AC Gold Has Prison Project Locked Up
AC Gold has secured the electrical package for the development works at Glenochil Prison where they will complete the essential wiring upgrades and the installation of new power and lighting at the facility.
The prison, which is situated near Tullibody, holds just under 500 long-term adult male prisoners with High, Medium and Low supervision security classifications together with a separate Young Offenders Institute
The development works form part of the prison under the wider Scottish Prison Service's redevelopment programme which is focused on four main sites - MHP Edinburgh, HMP Glenochil, HMP Perth and HMYOI Polmont - all of which are set to be completely redeveloped by the end of 2010.
AC Gold's Managing Director, Alasdair Campbell, commented, "This is yet another major contract that AC Gold has successfully tendered for and won in 2009 and is a testament to the hard work that every member of our team has shown this year."
The company has already won a number of significant contracts in the first half of the year including works at Heriot Watt University, Glenmorangie and Insure Repair.
