AC Gold Looks to Old Heads For Apprentice Programme

AC Gold has added yet another recruit to its highly respected apprenticeship programme however it has favoured experience over youth as it takes on its second round of Adult Apprentices with Alexander Eccles (24).

Alexander will undergo the same level of training both onsite and at Falkirk College as well as gaining invaluable hands on practical development as part of the AC Gold Electrical Contracting team.

AC Gold's Managing Director, Alasdair Campbell, , "Alexander demonstrated real character in applying for the apprentices programme and I have no doubt that he will go on to be a key member of the AC Gold team.

AC Gold has grown rapidly since it was formed in 2005 and now has over 40 employees and a client portfolio which includes many local authorities, housing associations and blue chip companies.

The appointment takes AC Gold's total number of apprentices to seven as the company maintains its policy of continuing its enviable growth rate through its apprenticeship programme and the company believes that training is the key to any future growth.

He continued, "It's all too easy to cut back on aspects such as apprenticeships during the current economic climate however we have actually increased our spend on training this year and I firmly believe that this will give us the impetus to drive the business forward in the forthcoming years."
